WFH Vs WFO: Here’s What IT Giants Plan For The Future

Loading

Information technology companies Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys are adhering to their hybrid business model even though the coronavirus epidemic is far from over and cases are still on the rise in India. Other IT companies employ a similar system. Recently, some businesses reopened their locations and called their employees back to work, but growing COVID-19 instances forced them to do so from home.

The most current numbers from the health ministry show that India had a rise of 16,103 coronavirus infections in a single day, with 31 deaths, bringing the country’s total number of cases to 4,35,02,429 and the death toll to 5,25,199. In India, there are currently 1,11,711 active COVID-19 cases, up from 1,09,568 on Saturday.

Paytm recently gave its employees the option to keep working from home. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the founder and CEO of Paytm, tweeted recently, “We at Paytm allow you to work from home/anywhere for the product, tech, and business professions.”

Two of the biggest IT companies in India, TCS and Infosys, have already stated that they want to continue using the hybrid working method in the future. Only 5% of the company’s executives, mostly senior executives, are really in the office.

In addition, TCS has announced deploying a 2525 policy, hot desks, and occasional operating zones (OOZs). According to the 2525 guideline, no more than 25% of the company’s employees may work from an office at any given time, and they may not spend more than 25% of their time there.

According to Tata Consultancy Services, it has set up agile workstations worldwide that enable employees to collaborate with team members from any TCS site using hot desks and occasional operating zones (OOZ). TCS outlined the 3Es and its hybrid working style in a letter to its employees (Enable, Embrace, and Empower).

The safety and well-being of HCL Technologies’ employees and their families have been listed as one of the organization’s key priorities. It has been made clear that the business is committed to preserving business continuity, guaranteeing continued services to its clients, and continuing to run under a hybrid structure.
