EPFO Circular On Computation Of Pension On Higher Wages

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, vide Circular No. Pension/SC/Higher Pension/2022/1357, prescribed the method for calculating the average monthly pay drawn during the contributory period of service.

Extension Of Medical Benefits Under The Employees’ State Insurance In Lakshadweep

The Government of India, vide Notification No. N-17011/1/Lakshadweep/2023-P&D, extended medical benefits, provided under Regulation 95-A of the Employees’ State Insurance (General) Regulations, 1950, to the families of all insured persons in the entire area of Kavaratti, Agatti and Minicoy Islands in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep with effect from 01 May 2023.

Permission To Keep Establishments Open On All Days Of The Year In Punjab

The Government of Punjab vide Notification No. 21/08/2017-4L(5)/471, permitted all establishments under the Punjab Shops and Establishments Act, 1947, to keep open throughout the year for a further period till 31st May 2024, subject to prescribed conditions.

ESIC Circular On Declaration Of Status Of Employer

ESIC vide circular F.No. P-11/14/19/Misc/02/2022-Rev.II, introduced the dormant option in the employer’s portal and directed the employers to declare the status of the company within six months of registration.

Circular On Joint Request Under The EPF Scheme, 1952

EPFO vide circular No. WSU/2023/19/Para 26(2)(E-108547), directed existing members paying more than higher wages to submit their joint request and undertaking during the time of final settlement.

The Tripura Minimum Wages Notification (April 2023)

Government of Tripura vide notification No.F.22(74)-LAB/ENF/MW/SHOPS/2022/2972-97, released minimum wage for the State of Tripura effective from 1st April 2023.

The Mizoram Minimum Wages Notification (April 2023)

The Government of Mizoram, vide Notification No. B.14015/4/2010-LESDE/147, revised the minimum wages effective from 1st April 2023.

The Kerala Minimum Wages Notification (April 2023)

The Government of Kerala, Labour and Skills (E) Department has revised the variable dearness allowance for employment in Shops and Commercial Establishment and employment in Computer Software Sector. As per the Notification No.DES/1036/2023-P3(1) , the Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) Numbers applicable to employees in employment under the Minimum Wages Act (Central Act XI of 1948) for the month of April 2023 ascertained by the Director General of Economics & Statistics under clause (C) of Section 2 of the Act.

Declaration Of Paid Holiday In Various Districts On Account Of Bye-Election In Haryana

The Government of Haryana vide notification No. Elec-2023/IR-II/PSCE/Hol/16320, declared paid holiday on 09th July 2023 (Sunday) for all the workers or employees of shops and commercial establishments and enrolled as voters in Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads within the State of Haryana.

The Maharashtra Shops And Establishments (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) (Amendment) Rules, 2023

The Government of Maharashtra vide notification No.MS&EA-05/2022/C.R.87/Labour-10, amended and added the word “website or” instead of “website and” for notice of shift schedule under The Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2018.

Revision In Rate Of Labour Welfare Fund Contribution In Haryana

The Government of Haryana, vide Notification No. HLWB/REV/2023/2733-2982, revised the rate of contribution, under The Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965, to rupees thirty one for employees instead of rupees twenty five and each employer in respect of such employee shall contribute rupees sixty two instead of rupees fifty ,effective from 1st January 2023.

Amendment Under The Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950

The Government of Tamil Nadu vide notification No. SRO A-25/2023, removed the procedural rule on whitewashing and colour washing of latrines and urinals under The Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950.

Enforcement Of Provisions Of ESI Act In Some Areas Of Bihar

The Government of India vide Notification No. N-17011/1/Bihar/2023-P&D, extended medical benefits, provided under Regulation 95-A of the Employees’ State Insurance (General Regulations, 1950, to the families of all insured persons in all the areas of Arwal, Jamui, Kaimur, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Madhubani, Nawada, Purnia, Sheikhpura and West Champaran, in addition to the already notified areas of the said districts, in the State of Bihar effective from 1st June 2023.
