The Goa Minimum Wages Notification (April 2022)

The Government of Goa vide Notification No. CLE/PA/MWA-VDA/(10)/2016/1212 has released the variable dearness allowance towards Minimum Wages effective from 1st April 2022

The Goa Shops And Establishments (Amendment) Act, 2021

The Government of Goa vide No. 24/14/2021-LAB/209 has notified May 2nd, 2022, as the effective date for the Goa Shops and Establishments (Amendment) Act, 2021. The amendment act implements provisions on electronic filing, auto-renewal, and restriction for employment of women employees in certain cases. It has further revised the penalty in case of non-compliance with the provisions of the act.

Enforcement Of Medical Benefits In Nagapattinam District Of Tamil Nadu

The ESIC vide notification No. N-17011/1/2022-P&D extended medical benefits, provided under Regulation 95-A of the Employees’ State Insurance (General) Regulations, 1950, to the families of all insured persons in the entire area of Nagapattinam district in the State of Tamil Nadu with effect from April 01, 2022.

The Kerala Minimum Wages Notification (March 2022)

The Government of Kerala, Labour and Skills (E) Department has revised the variable dearness allowance for employment in Shops and Commercial Establishment and employment in Computer Software Sector. As per the Notification No.DES/859/2022-P3(1) , the Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) Numbers applicable to employees in employment under the Minimum Wages Act (Central Act XI of 1948) for the month of March 2022 ascertained by the Director General of Economics & Statistics under clause (C) of Section 2 of the Act

Declaration Of Paid Holiday On Account Of Election In Kerala

The Government of Kerala vide notification G.O.(Rt) No. 2025/2022/GAD declared 31st May 2022 (Tuesday) as paid holiday for all Commercial Establishment including private enterprises, private industrial centres, and other private institutions under the Shops and Commercial Establishment Act, on account of bye-election in Thrikkakara Legislative Assembly.

The Punjab Shops And Commercial Establishments (Haryana Amendment) Rules, 2022

The Haryana State Government vide notification No. 14939 amended proviso to Rule 15(2) of the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Rules, 1958. As per the amendment, Logistics and Warehousing establishments are included in the ambit of the sector, which can apply for exemption under Section 28 for Section 30 of The Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958.

Declaration Of Paid Holiday To Eligible Employees On Account Of Bye-Election In Odisha

The Government of Odisha vide notification No. LESI-OE1-IE4-0011-2022-3912 instructed all business, trade, industrial undertakings, and establishments to grant paid holiday to eligible employees on 31st May 2022 (Tuesday), on account of the bye-election in Brajarajnagar Assembly Constituency.

Extension Of Provision Of The ESI Act To Certain Classes Of EstablishmentsUnion territory of Andaman and Nicobar lslands

The ESIC vide notification no. S.O. 2466(E) extended the provisions of the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948, to certain classes of establishments and areas in which the establishments are situated provided in the Schedule of the notification. The notification is effective from 1st June 2022.
