Extension of Due Date For Filing Professional Tax Returns in West Bengal
The Government of West Bengal, vide Memo No. 32 CT/PRO , extended the last date of filing the return in Form III under the West Bengal State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1979, till 15th May 2024 for electronic filing and 30th May 2024 for furnishing the return in paper form.
Memorandum regarding Registration of Shops and Establishment in Tripura
The Government of Tripura Vide F.21(45)-LAB/ENF/MISC/2024/2453-54,has deleted the Section 16 of The Tripura Shops and Establishments Act, 1970 (referred to as the Principal Act) vide The Tripura Shops and Establishments (Fifth Amendment) Act, 2021 (Notl{ication No.F 8(3)Lawr Leg-ll2021 (P) Dated. Agartala the 15rh Mtay, 2021) to comply with the purpose of Ease of doing Business in the State. Henceforth, no shopkeeper or employer is required to apply for registration of his shop or establishment under this Act.
