The Kerala Minimum Wages Notification (Oct 2021)

The Government of Kerala, Labour and Skills (E) Department has revised the variable dearness allowance for employment in Shops and Commercial Establishment and employment in Computer Software Sector. As per the Notification No.DES/859/2021-P3(1) , the Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) Numbers applicable to employees in employment under the Minimum Wages Act (Central Act XI of 1948) for the month of October 2021 ascertained by the Director General of Economics & Statistics under clause (C) of Section 2 of the Act

The Punjab Minimum Wages Notification (Sep 2020)

Government of Punjab, as per notification number No.ST/17065 has released the Minimum Wages for the State effective from 1st September 2020

Extension Of Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ABRY)

EPFO vide publication in web portal has extended the registration facility under Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ABRY) from 30th June 2021 to 31st March 2022 . As per the scheme, (1) incentive shall be in the form of payment of employee and employer contribution which is twenty four percent of wages in respect of new employees employed in establishments having more than one thousands employees, (2) establishments registered with EPFO after 1st October 2020 shall get the benefits in respect of all new employees. Tripura Minimum Wages Notification (Oct 2021)

Government of Tripura vide notification No. F.87(30)-LAB/ENF/MW/SHOPS/2002(A)/7066-84, has released minimum wage for the State of Tripura effective from 1st October 2021

Circular Towards Linking Of ESIC Of Insured Person With EPFO

ESIC vide circular has decided to link ESIC insurance number of insured person with the EPFO’s Universal Account Number (UAN), a twelve digit identification number number allotted by EPFO. Therefore, members of EPFO with authorised Aadhaar and Bank details seeded against the UAN can submit their provident fund withdrawal or settlement or transfer requests. An arrangement has been made in the ESI portal where the employer can enter the UAN of IPs through the module. Once after entering details in the system the same can be verified with EPFO. Hence employer may take note on ease of access to the facilities as mentioned

Declaration Of Paid Holiday On Account Of Municipal Election In Kolkata

The Government of West Bengal vide notification No. Labr/2228/(LC-IR)/IR/7S-06/17 has declared paid holiday on 19th December 2021 (Sunday) for the employees who are working in shops, commercial and industrial establishments, pertaining to Kolkata Municipal Corporation so as to enable them to exercise their right of franchise. Therefore, employers of any business, trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishments of the areas pertaining to Kolkata Municipal Corporation shall grant paid holiday on the day of Poll to their workmen who are entitled to cast vote.

The Assam Professions, Trades, Callings And Employments Taxation (Amendment) Act, 2021

Government of Assam vide notification No. LGL.55/2005/46 has amended the provisions towards liability of tax, returns and included new provisions towards applicability of the provisions on Assam Value Added Tax and automated data processing system. As per the amendment, (1) apply liability to tax on members of the armed forces of India, (2) The penalty for not filing return has increased to one hundred for each day of delay or a maximum of rupees five thousand whichever is less, (3) The employers who are previously registered under The Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, The Assam Value Added Tax Act, 2003, The Assam Taxation (On Specified Lands) Act, 1990, The Assam Agricultural Income-tax Act, 1939, The Assam Electricity Duty Act, 1964 considered to be registered under this enactment, (4) The Assam Value Added Tax Act, 2003 is applicable as is without any change, (5) Introduction of procedures for e-filing of returns and e-payment of taxes and automated data processing system.

Declaration Of Paid Holiday On Occasion Of Muncipal Election In Chandigarh

The Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh vide notification No. 12/7/30-HII(2)-2021/15148 has declared short leave on Friday, the 24th December, 2021 for all the Factories and Shops and Commercial Establishments falling in the area of ward number one to thirty-five of Municipal Corporation, Union Territory, Chandigarh.
