List Of Implemented And Non-Implemented Areas Under ESIC

The ESIC vide circular No. X-11/14/6/2015-P&D dated 1st April 2021 has published the updated list of implemented and non-implemented areas under ESIC 2.0/ Vison-2022 as on 1st April 2021. The state wise updated list of implementation of the respective states/districts are mentioned in Annexure I. Therefore, Employers may reach out to the nearest RO/SRO of ESIC Department, verify local office preparedness and comply with obtaining ESIC code/ sub-codes wherever applicable.

The Telangana Minimum Wages Notification (April 2021)

As per the press note released, Commissioner of Labour Telangana, Hyderabad and the Competent Authority under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 has declared the CPI points for calculation of variable dearness allowance for the state of Telangana with effect from 1st April 2021

The Punjab Labour Welfare Fund (Haryana Amendment) Act, 2021

Government of Haryana vide notification no. No. Leg. 16/2021 has amended Section 9-A (Contribution to Fund by employers and employees) of The Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act,1965 applicable in Haryana. As per the amendment, the employer shall pay to the Fund both his contribution and the contribution of the employee before the 31st December of every year through online mode instead of crossed cheque or demand draft in favour of the Welfare Commissioner.

Declaration Of Paid Holiday In Nalgonda District Of Telangana On Account Of Bye-Election

The Government of Telangana vide notification no. G.O.Rt.No. 183 has declared 17th April 2021 (Saturday) as a paid holiday on account of the Bye-election in 87-Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly Constituency, Nalgonda District, Telangana. Therefore, all employers shall declare paid holiday for workers and employees working in Industrial Establishments located in the concerned area.

Extension Of Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana Scheme

ESIC vide notification no. No. N-12/13/1/2019 P&D has extended the relaxation in eligibility conditions in the Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana for period 01.01.2021 to 30.06.2021 with the same terms and conditions as notified on 16.10.2020 in the Gazette of India (EXTRAORDINARY) Part III Section 4 Sl. No 436 dated 14.10.2020 and with the relaxation in the conditions as notified on 11.01.2021 in Gazette of India (EXTRAORDINARY) Part III section 4 dated 04.01.2021.

Order On Extension Of Due Date For Filing Annual Returns Under The West Bengal State Tax On Professions, Trades, Callings, And Employments Act, 1979

Government of West Bengal, Directorate of Commercial Taxes in exercise of the power conferred under Rule 12 of the West Bengal State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings, and Employments Rules, 1979, for the financial year ending 31st March 2021, the last date of filing Annual return in Form-III has been extended from the earlier date of 30th April 2021 to 30th June 2021. The last date for furnishing the paper form of that return also has been extended from 15th May 2021 to 15 July 2021.

The Government of Karnataka vide notification No.FD 03 CPT 2020 has extended the due date concerning the filing of the Monthly Returns for the month of April 2021 till 20th June 2021 and payment of Enrolment tax till 30th May 2021 on account of the COVID 19 pandemic. 

Notification For Employers On Termination And Reducing Wages Of Employees During COVID 19 Curfew In Karnataka

Government of Karnataka vide notification no. 158/PNR/2020 has requested all employers not to terminate and reduce their employees’ wages during the Covid-19 curfew imposed in Karnataka. 

The Employees’ Deposit-Linked Insurance (Amendment) Scheme, 2021

EPFO vide notification no. G.S.R. 299 E has amended The Employees’ Deposit-Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976. As per the amendment, the maximum assurance benefit under the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) scheme has now been increased to Seven lakh from the existing cover of six lakhs.

As per Government Notification No.J/3984/2021, CPI points for minimum wage calculation has been released for the state of Andhra Pradesh with effect from 1st April 2021

ESIC On Medical Care Benefits And Relief During COVID-19 Pandemic

ESIC vide press release no. F.No.E-13/12/5/2021-ER has introduced medical care and relief to its beneficiaries during COVID-19 pandemics. As per the press release, (1) The insured person can claim sickness benefits for the period of abstention. The sickness benefit is paid at 70 per cent of daily wage for ninety-one days, (2) The insured person during the period of unemployment may avail relief under Atal Beemit Vyakti Yozana Scheme under fifty per cent average per day earning for a maximum of ninety days. (3) The insured person during retrenchment or closure under The Industrial Dispute Act, 1947 may claim unemployment allowance for a period of two years (4) In any case of unfortunate demise of Insured Person, funeral expenses of Rs.15000 are paid to eldest surviving members of his family.
